The Bon Festival

I went to my uncle home at 1:00p.m. I put some sticks of incense into the incense box in my grandfather and grandmother's altar, and I put some sticks of incense in my aunt's altar, too. I enjoyed talking with him for a while, and then he drove me to my father's home. When Gonta looked at my uncle, Gonta barked and jumped with his joy. My uncle patted Gonta's head, so Gonta seemed to be happy. After my uncle went home, I did the housework and I cooked food for Gonta as usual. I went to the Saiun temple on my way to my home. Because today was the Bon Festival's last day.

My homework

I stayed at home all day. After lunch, I made a stuffed toy panda which was my homework. While sewing I watched my favorite drama series on video which I had recorded. After supper, I made it again. It was difficult to stuff the cotton into its head. I finally finished to make it at midnight. I was happy, so I took a picture of it at once.

Gonta

I had lunch at a cafe on my way to my father's home. The cashier was a beautiful European lady, but she spoke fluent Japanese and she was very polite. Then I went to my father's home by bus as usual. I did the housework and I cooked food for Gonta. After I walked him, I put a wet towel on his head. He kept himself cool in front of a fan with the towel. I took a picture of him.

I stayed at home and  I made a sample for my sewing lesson all day. I referred to 2 kinds of coaster which my mother had sewn before she passed away. First I made the patterns of them, and I traced the patterns on several piece of cloth. Next I cut them out and I sewed them. While watching my favorite drama series on video which I had recorded I sewed them. After supper I kept sewing them again. I finally finished sewing them at midnight. I was really tired, but it was a relief for me.

a cooking lesson

I took a cooking lesson at my friend's home at 11:00. There was one member and me in the class. She taught us how to cook "a piece of  konnyaku simmered in spicy","chicken and cucumber salad with pasted sesame seeds", and "cool noodles". After we finished cooking, I took a picture of the menus.We enjoyed eating and talking for a while. I'm going to try cooking the menus someday.

 

My friends

I met my friends at the ticket gates in Oizumi Gakuen station. They are old friends from high school. We had lunch at a Japanese restaurant where my friend had reserved a room. The room was nice and cozy, so I felt that I was relaxing at an inn. We ordered the special lunch course. We enjoyed eating and talking. Then we walked a little time, we took a rest at a coffee shop. I presented the bottles of perfume which I had made for them. They liked the perfume, so I was happy. Each of them presented me with some sweets and several small towels. I really liked them. We enjoyed talking a lot again.

I stayed at home all day. I made three bottles of perfumes and three pouches for my friends. While recalling each their characters I made them. I hope they will like the perfumes. I'm going to meet them on Sunday, so I'm looking forward to it.
