Rainy and cold

It was a rainy and cold today. I wanted to stay at home all day, but I couldn't. Because I had to go to my father's home to do the housework and cook for Gonta. So I wore heavy warmer clothes than usual. When I got to Kawagoe station, I felt that Kawagoe was colder than my town. I had lunch at a cafe, and then I went to my father's home. I did the housework as usual, and then I walked Gonta. He seemed very full of life and spirit in spite of the very cold air.

a calm fine day

I bought some flowers at a florist's on my way to my father's home. I arranged the flowers in my mother's altar room at once. Then I did the housework and I cooked food for Gonta. Today was a calm fine day, so I walked Gonta further than usual. I found many ducks at a river bank. They were really cute, so I took a picture of them. After we walked, I untied Gonta in my father's garden. He dashed up and down many times. He seemed very happy.

My lesson

I gave a lesson on aromatherapy and a hand sewing lesson for my mother's students for the first time in the afternoon. First, I taught them how to make a chamomile cream. And then I taught them how to sew a coaster of my mother's design. After the lesson, my mother's students and I enjoyed conversation with a cup of tea and some sweets. Three members were absent this time, but the lesson was really active all of time. I'm going to give the next lesson on March 13th.

Tokyo tower

My husband and I went to Onarimon Station in the afternoon. We took a rest at a cafe in a hotel near the station. Then we stopped by the Zojo-ji Temple. There were many people, so we had to stand in line to visit the main temple. My husband took some pictures there. We went to Tokyo tower after we visited the temple. There were many people there,too. We had to stand in line to buy the admission tickets. It took about 40 minutes to go to the observatory. The night view from the observatory was really beautiful, so I was moved by the scenery. My husband was absorbed in taking pictures of it. Then we tried to go down the stairs from the observatory for the first time. There were quite a lot of numbers of steps, but we could easily go down the stairs. We could see the night view on the way from getting off the stairs. Tokyo tower is 50 years old this year, so we found many commemorative goods at many shops in the Tokyo tower.

preparation of my lesson

I prepared again my hand sewing lesson in the afternoon. I finished to cut many pieces of cloth, so I packed them for my mother's students. I'm looking forward to giving the first lesson next Friday.

The tulips in vase

After my husband and I dropped in the memorial service tower where my mother's ashes rest, we went to my father's home. I found that all tulips in a vase came out at my mother's altar room, so I was happy. Because when I arranged them last visit, all of them had bads. We walked Gonta after I did the housework and I cooked food for him. Then we dropped in a temple, but we couldn't go into the temple with the dog, so we went in there in turn. I drew a fortune slip again. The fortune slip was very good luck!

preparation of my lesson

I  prepared my hand sewing lesson at night. I traced many flowers and many leaves on some pieces of cloth with their patterns. Then I cut them out. But I haven't finished preparing them yet. Because I noticed that I need other materials to prepare for them. I'm going to take the materials from my father's home.

A hamaya and a fortune slip

My husband and I went to the Gokoku temple. We visit the temple every new year's day. He handed an old hamaya to a monk, and I bought a new one. Then we drew a fortune slip. The reverse of the paper was written in English. My papers says,
" 37. Not-So-Good Fortune
  At first things do not go your way, but with the good fortune of time passing and with the protection of Divine, you will at last walk the road of much happiness."
