I made a sample for my sewing lesson. The sample for my hand sewing lesson. The sample was a pot holder. I referred to my mother's design. After supper, I kept making it. I finally finished making it. I took a picture of it. I hope my students will like it.

a cooking lesson

I went to my friend's home to take a cooking lesson in the morning. Today's cooking menu was Japanese cooking for the home. She taught her students and me how to cook "simmered chicken dumplings and turnips", "a green vegetable salad with pounded sesame seeds", " a big bowl of rice topped with a tuna and avocado salad with soy sauce and wasabi". We boiled the rice in her small earthen pot. She told her students and me that the earthen pot can boil the rice in a shorter time than the rice cooker. I'll want to buy it someday. We had taken several pictures of today's cooking before we ate them. We enjoyed eating and talking, and we had a good time together.

I stayed at home all day. I made a sample for my aromatherapy and a herbal lesson all afternoon. The sample was a potpourri. I used some yuzu peel which I had dried, some hinoki chips, dried several kinds of herbs. I struggled to make the potpourri, because I didn't like fragrance. I tried making it three times, I finally liked it. So I decided to use the recipe of the third potpourri in my lesson.
