a cooking lesson

I went to my friend's home to take a cooking lesson in the morning. Today's cooking menu was Japanese cooking for the home. She taught her students and me how to cook "simmered chicken dumplings and turnips", "a green vegetable salad with pounded sesame seeds", " a big bowl of rice topped with a tuna and avocado salad with soy sauce and wasabi". We boiled the rice in her small earthen pot. She told her students and me that the earthen pot can boil the rice in a shorter time than the rice cooker. I'll want to buy it someday. We had taken several pictures of today's cooking before we ate them. We enjoyed eating and talking, and we had a good time together.
