Some flowers

My husband and I visited the memorial service tower where my mother's ashes rest in the Saiun Temple. I put a bunch of flowers in some stone vases and we put some sticks of incense there. There were many bunches of flowers and 2 branches of pine for the coming new year. Then we went to my father's home. When Gonta looked at us, he barked and jumped with joy. I decorated some flowers in the hall. After I did the housework and I cooked food for Gonta, we walked him.

The beautiful scenery

I went to my father's home in the afternoon. It was a warm day today, so I swept up the dead leaves carefully in my father's garden. After I did housework and I cooked food for Gonta, I walked him. We went to my favorite park and I took some pictures in the park. I felt relaxed with the beautiful scenery. It took about 1 hour to walk.

My lesson

I gave a lesson on aromatherapy and a herbal lesson in the afternoon. Every one of my students enjoyed the lesson. They and I enjoyed chatting with a cup of tea after the lesson. Today's lesson was the last lesson this year. I lost all my tension, so I spent a relaxing time in the evening.

My lesson

When they added apple cider vinegar to baking soda, they enjoyed the chemical reaction. I had a cup of coffee after the lesson. I watched my favorite drama series on video which I had recorded.

My tree

I went to my father's home after I had lunch at a cafe. My yuzu tree had many yellow fruits, so I took a picture of it. I remembered that my mother made the yuzu pound cake for me last year. I cherished the memory of her. I have the recipe for the cake, so I'll probably try to make it someday.

Gonta's favorite mat

I went to my father's home in the afternoon. I walked Gonta after I did housework and I cooked food for him. It was a really warm today, so we went to my favorite park near a river. We tried to go up a steep flight of stairs this time, too. Gonta was in high spirits and he ran up the stairs. So I said to him," Wait,wait! You are a dog, but I'm a human. I can't run at the same pace as you. Then he stopped running and he looked back at me, but when I caught up with him, he started to run again. After I gave some food to him and I played with him, I gave him his favorite mat. After a while I went to see how he was doing. He had dozed off on the mat. The mat was folded by me when I gave it to him, but he had spread it out by himself. I guessed he was very excited so he was very tired. He looked like he was satisfied and happy.

The Ginkgo festival

My husband and I went to Meiji Jingu Gaien Ginkgo festival. There were many fallen leaves there, so they looked like a yellow carpet. The season of the Ginkgo passed its peak, so there were not many people there. There were many booths at the place. We bought a cup of caffe latte and a steam manju(=Japanese-style bun stuffed with adzuki-bean paste). While eating we watched a street performer's performance at the place. We spent an expansive time there.

Some knitting pieces

I went to my father's home in the afternoon. I found some knitting pieces which my mother knitted. I brought them home and I thought about what I could make with them. After supper, I thought of making cover for my electronic dictionary. I started to make the cover at once. I put a piece of lace and a button as a finish on the cover. I could make use of my mother's unfinished works, so I was really happy.

My homework

I stayed at home all day. I made a teddy bear for my homework. I struggled to make the face, so I made it again and again. I finally finished it in the evening. I really concentrated making the teddy bear, so I was very tired.

The maple festival

I got to my father's home at 10:30a.m. When I unlocked the front door Gonta hurled against the door and he barked with joy. Because he was alone overnight. The entrance was really in a mess because of him. I guessed he got into a panic with loneliness. I walked him at once, then I gave him some food. He ate it up quickly.
My husband came to my father's home at noon. Gonta romped around him with joy. My husband and I walked Gonta at 3:00p.m. Gonta looked like he was very happy.
My husband and I went home, then we went to see the maple festival in the forest park at night. The event place was illuminated by colorful lights. There  were many lamps on the side of the alley. Many maple trees were illuminated by brights lights. They were really beautiful, so I was moved by them. I felt I was in a different world.

A chrysanthemum festival

My husband and I went to see a chrysanthemum festival which was held at a temple on our way to my father's home. The festival is held at the temple every year. I was used to seeing it with my mother every year. While watching many chrysanthemums I remembered my mother and my memories. After watching the event, my husband and I took a rest at an open-air cafe in the temple. We had a cup of coffee and  one stick of dango. Then we went to my father's home. Gonta welcomed us. Gonta was stroked on his head by my husband, so he looked like he was happy.

a glass cleaner

I made a glass cleaner for my next aromatherapy and a herbal lesson for a trial product. I failed in making it two times, but I succeeded in making it third time. I tried to use it on a window at once. Its ingredients are baking soda, apple cider vinegar, water and some drops of some essential oils.

My lesson

I gave a lesson on aromatherapy and a herbal lesson in the afternoon. I gave the pouches which I made to my students. Every one of my students were glad with them. They enjoyed making potpourri. Each of their potpourri had really nice fragrances. Maybe I guessed their choices from many bottles of essential oils were very good.

My homework

I sneezed many times and I had a runny nose all day, so I took some herbal medicine before every meal. I felt tired all day, but I didn't want to spent useless time, so I cut some materials to make 2 teddy bears for my homework in the afternoon. After I finished to cut for them, I watched my favorite drama series on video which I had recorded.

Holland's art exhibition

I met friend Tae at noon. She had 2 Holland's art exhibition tickets, so we went to the art museum to see it. There were many rough drawing works from long ago. They looked like photographs. I bought some postcards at the art museum. Then we took a rest at a cafe. We were absorbed in chatting for 2 hours and a half.

Walking

It was really chilly today, so I wore warmer clothes than usual. I went to my father's home in the afternoon. I walked Gonta to a river near my father's home. The cherry trees along the river bank didn't have almost half of their leaves. Gonta smelled their fallen leaves and he stepped on them on purpose. He sometimes chewed them noisily, so I stopped him chewing them.

Many pouches

I stayed at home all day. I made many pouches for my next lesson's potpourri. I watched my favorite drama series on video which I had recorded while sewing them. But I had to read the subtitles, so I sometimes stopped sewing. After supper, I sewed them. I finally finished doing them at 11:00p.m.

My new dictionary

My husband and I went to the book festival in Kanda. The festival was crowded with many people. I wanted to buy an English-English dictionary for my English study. I found an English-English electronic dictionary. I was going to buy it, but I changed my mind. Because my husband recommended another electronic dictionary for me. The dictionary contains 66 dictionaries and it costs 12000 yen. I liked it, so I bought it. I bought an electronic dictionary by 2000 yen at the same event last year, so I have 2 electronic dictionaries. But the new one is really functional. I'll use the dictionaries properly.

a little advemture

My husband and I went to my father's home in the afternoon. When Gonta looked at us, he barked and jumped with his joy. I did housework as usual, then we walked Gonta. We went to a park near a river. This was my and Gonta's third visit to the park, but my husband's first visit. We found a steep flight of stairs in the park, so we tried to go up the stairs.Then there was a forked road and two signs. The left sign said,"Atago Shrine", and the right sign said,"Enmei Jizo(=a life lengthening guardian deity)". We went to the shrine first, and then we went to the jizo. I felt today's walking was a little adventures. We enjoyed walking.

Many weeds again

I went to my father's home in the afternoon. After I did housework and I cooked food for Gonta, I walked him. We went to a river near my father's home. The river bank has been weeded by many volunteers recently, but now the place had many weeds again. The weeds were beautifully green, so I took a picture of them. Then I found many spot-billed ducks at the river bank, so I took some pictures of them too.

I gave a lesson on aromatherapy and a herbal lesson in the afternoon. Every one of my students enjoyed making the chamomile cream today,too. I made a pouch for my next lesson's potpourri. I'll give the pouches to my students in my next lesson.

I gave a lesson on aromatherapy and a herbal lesson in the afternoon and evening. Every one of my students enjoyed making a chamomile cream. The cream is for keeping moisture in the skin. I guess the cream is useful for dried skin this winter.
