My lesson

I gave a lesson on aromatherapy and herbal lesson in the afternoon. I taught my students how to make a small herbal hanging this time, too. They were absorbed in making the hanging all the time. After 90 minutes, they finished making them. Their works were beautiful and wonderful, so I took some pictures of their work. I served them some sweets and a cup of herbal tea after the lesson. We enjoyed talking for a while.

a new collar

 I put a new collar which I had bought on Gonta's neck. I guessed the collar really matched him, so I took a picture of him sleeping.

the New Year's party

Today was the New Year's party of my friend's cooking class at her favorite Italian restaurant. The restaurant was nice and cozy, and the chef is a friendly and nice person. We ordered a lunch special menu. All of the menus were really beautiful, so we took some pictures of them. Needless to say, all of the menus were delicious. We enjoyed eating and talking to our heart's content.

My lesson

I gave a lesson on aromatherapy and a hand-sewing lesson in the afternoon. I taught my students how to make a small herbal hanging. All of my students drew their designs on a board freely, and they glued many kinds of herbs and spices on the board freely, too. They made their work while concentrating all the time, so they hardly talked at all. After one and a half hours, most of my students finished making their small hangings. They seemed to be satisfied with their works. Of course, their works were wonderful. So I took some pictures of their work after each of my students had finished making them. Then I taught them how to sew a pair of ball shaped coasters. They enjoyed sewing and talking. After the lesson, I served a cup of herbal tea and some sweets. We enjoyed talking for a while.

Tokyo-tower

My husband and I had lunch at our favorite Chinese noodle shop. Then we went to a temple called Zojo-ji. I bought a cute wooden snake ornament in the temple's shop. Because this is the Year of the snake in Chinese astrology. I bought a cute wooden dragon ornament last year. I'm going to buy it every year. Then we went to Tokyo-tower. We enjoyed listening to a free small concert of a famous woman rock vocalist at the stage of the observatory by chance. Then we enjoyed watching the view of the observatory and I took many pictures of the view. After we went out of Tokyo-tower, I took several pictures of the illuminated Tokyo-tower. My husband loves the tower, so we go to the tower every year.

a sample for my lesson

I made a sample for my hand-sewing lesson all afternoon. I referred to my mother's design files this time, too. The sample was a pair of ball shaped coasters. I did patchwork to make the coaster. I didn't finish making it until in the evening. So I was making it again after supper. I finally finished making it shortly before midnight. I took a picture of the pair of coasters.

Gonta

My husband and I went to my father's home in the afternoon. Gonta met my husband after an interval of about eight months. Gonta was wagging his tail with pleasure, and he fawned on my husband. My husband was stroking Gonta again and again for a while, so Gonta seemed to be happy. While I did the housework, my husband was sleeping on the sofa all the time. Gonta was sleeping on the floor under the sofa, too. Then we walked him. While walking he was in high spirits. When we went out from my father's home, Gonta seemed to be lonely. I guessed he must have fawned on my father after we left.

a fortune slip

My husband and I went to our favorite Chinese noodle shop in Ikebukuro in the afternoon. Then we went to the temple-called Gokokuji. We threw in some coins into the offering box. Then I drew a fortune slip as usual. My paper was Good Fortune. It was written in English on the reverse. It says, "43. Good Fortune. Yours is a happy fate, but if you become arrogant, everything you touch goes badly. Modesty, sincerity and the help of those goes badly. Modesty, sincerity and the help of those with more experience bring an unforeseen good fortune. Believe in the Divine. Uprightness is important." Then we took a rest at a casual restaurant near the temple. We ordered two cake sets.

I stayed at home all day. I made a sample for my aromatherapy and herbal lesson after lunch. The sample was small hangings. First, I drew a flower with compasses on a board. Next, I tried putting several kinds of herbs and spices on the board. I was thinking of the layout on the board for a while. Then I glued the herbs and spices on the board. It was a little complicated, so I struggled gluing them on it. I finally finished making it in the evening. It was a relief for me, so I took a picture of it.
