a cooking lesson

I went to my friend's home to take a cooking lesson in the morning. She taught her students and me how to cook "Special Japanese soup for new year", " Simmered pork and Chinese cabbage", "egg and bean curd skin(=Yuba) cooked with rice"and "paprika and ham cake". It was difficult for me to make a chrysanthemum with a turnip. The chrysanthemum was steamed and it was simmered in a special Japanese soup. All of the cooking was beautiful this time, too. All of her students and me took some pictures of them. Then we enjoyed eating them and we enjoyed talking.
